On January 10, 2007, Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac was awarded “Best in Show” at MacWorld 2007. Parallels Desktop for Mac is a hardware emulation virtualization software, using hypervisor technology that works by mapping the host computer's hardware resources directly to the virtual machine's resources.
An update now being pushed out to Parallels Desktop 10 users now makes it easy for them to download and run the Windows 10 Technical Preview and the Office Preview for Windows 10 on their Macs.

'The Parallels Wizard makes it simple to download the Windows 10 Technical Preview directly from within Parallels Desktop, creating a virtual machine to try out everything Windows 10 has to offer, including such features as the new Start menu, Photos, Maps app, Cortana and Windows Store beta which offers Office Preview for Windows 10,' a Parallels spokesperson told ZDNet in a statement.
Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac is available for download from the company's online store. The standard retail price (SRP) of Parallels Desktop 10 is $79.99, and the Student Edition is available for $39.99. Upgrades for existing Parallels Desktop 8 or 9 customers are $49.99.
If you just want to check out Windows 10 (or Parallels Desktop 10) there's a free two-week trial also available.

I have Parallels Desktop installed on all my Macs and I highly recommend it. While there are cheaper (and even free) ways to run other operating systems on a Mac, if you want a 'one-click no futzing around' way to do it, this is it.
